Suggestions re Overeas visitor wanting to see J-League

Postby Ellem » Wed Mar 10, 2010 9:03 am

Hi
I am an Australian from Sydney
I am looking for suggestions or websites in English that can help working out when games are on and how to get tickets for J-League
games.
My team Sydney FC played Urawa a few years ago and i have fond memories of the Urwawa support in both home and away legs.
Also Nagoya Grampus maybe or any other team.

Is it difficult to get tickets to games?
What is the normal cost?

By the way This is my schedule

Most matches do not sell out, except for some Urawa home matches -- and they arent playing at home that weekend anyway. Just go to the stadium about 90 minutes early, buy tickets at the gate and find a good spot to sit before the main crowd arrives. You should have no trouble.

Kawasaki Frontale plays S-Pulse on Saturday the 27th and Omiya plays FC Tokyo on the 28th. Both will be easy to get to from Tokyo (though Omiya tickets could be scarce due to their small stadium. Arrive early if you want decent seats)

Your timing for arrival in Kyoto couldnt be better. There is a Nabisco Cup match on Wednesday evening. The cup is poorly attended anyway, and Kyoto on a chilly workday evening will be even moreso than usual. Youll have the place practically to yourself.

There isnt much going on in Kansai on the 3-4th. You can probably make it to the Cerezo Osaka - Kyoto match on Saturday but its a bit of a ride from Kobe (particularly for a 1PM kickoff).

Hope you enjoy your trip
